It seems the biggest UK delays are the car arriving and getting its pre delivery inspection in Tilbury. Last reports were taking weeks, unsure if they have sped it up and/or by how much. Some dealers only find out at the last minute when the car is booked on a truck to them, some find out when the car literally arrives. It often comes down to how much attention to detail the salesperson is paying to the system.

Congrats on being one step closer to getting it.

About 2-4 weeks according to my dealer. We've just bought another one and was told it was on a ship landing 'soon' and we will have it before the end of the month.

I own a 2022 Ultimate Hybrid with Tech Pack - in Red (best colour).
Also have two motorcycles. Honda CB1300 and Honda CBF1000 (also red, of course).

Thanks Berty and Alan this is really helpful. I've been told that the dealer has requested priority processing at Tilbury for their vehicles but I'm guessing most dealers will be requesting the same given the long waits customers have endured?

Hi all.
New Tucson owner here.
Picked up plug in ultimate in Amazon grey on Tuesday as new company car.
It only came with a type 2 cable. So tried charging for the 1st time today and couldn’t get the car to acknowledge the charge cable. To popped down to my local dealer and it sounds like the actuator on the car socket is faulty.
So having its first warranty trip within 2 days. Hopefully it’s not going to be a regular visitor to them.

Pretty sure when i was organising the delivery of my car i asked about mats and they said if i can remember correctly that they do not supply them because of a health and safety issue....
My last 2 cars have not had mats in them.

My dealer put nice Tucson branded mats in mine for me, didn't even ask for them!

I finally have my car and feel bound to say that it has been worth the wait. I'm very impressed although I cannot get buy head round how a lot of it works (.e.g. Cruise Control told me at one point that it was setting itself to the changing speed limits but I can't work out how to turn that feature on and off - can anybody answer this please?

A few comments to answer recent questions:

1. car was ordered at the beginning of August last year but no granny cable supplied.
2. dealer kindly gave me car mats. I think this was an apology for waiting so long after he said he was confident of delivery by November.
3. 100 miles from the dealer to home (long story) the car averaged 71mpg which I'm very happy with. I wasn't pushing it 60mph for a lot of it and I switched from Auto mode to EV when I just had enough range to get me home. (It's now reading 1miles of EV range!)

One more (I'm guessing of many more) questions I have right now: the car offers three charging rates Max. Reduced and Minimum. A reduced rate appeals to me because 1, I run appliances at night so don't want to risk blowing the fuse and 2. On Octopus Go I don't need a fast charge when I've 4hours to get 13odd Kwh. Does anybdy have any idea what the slower rates are as I can't find any reference to these other than the options on the menu.

I still can't decide on which boot liner to get. A friend has just got a rubber one from Prestige and the rubber smell is actually overpowering.

Thanks for all the help/advice from you all while Ive been waiting. I really appreciate it.

Glad your impressed with the car. The speed limit, albeit I've never tried it, is most likely the first option below.

I have an original hyundai liner and although it does a job, I find its too slippy to stop stuff sliding around. I have a collapsible crate that I put stuff in, plus, I've cut to shape a thin 'non smelly' rubber boor mat as an insert. I also use that to cover the seats when their down, so it has a dual purpose.

Thanks. This is useful. I guess I just need to get used to how it behaves in practice.

I remember reading that you (or others) weren't overly impressed with the Hyundai liner. I was wondering about Rhino which was recommended on here but worry that it means sticking a load of velcro to the inside of the boot.
