Hi Keith, Many thanks mate and yes, the initial findings are that EVERYTHING is living up to what we hoped. So many toys (much more than my tractor LOL) to learn but enjoying every bit of it.
Trying hardest to stamp into the wife’s pretty head to select AutoHold each time before setting off is liken to teaching pond life the laws of nature.
One quick query….. If she forgets to select AutoHold and arrives home (slight steepness) would the EPB automatically apply? I’m sure when she came home the other day it started to roll back. Normal question from me did you apply EPB was met with unpronounceable reply!!!

If it rolled back then your gradient is not steep enough to auto trigger the parking brake. I have a very slight incline and it doesn't come on automatically when I press P, manual application needed unless I have Autohold enabled which to be honest I only use when in very heavy traffic.

When you switch it off, P is engaged by default, so even if EPB is off, it won't roll far.

I own a 2022 Ultimate Hybrid with Tech Pack - in Red (best colour).
Also have two motorcycles. Honda CB1300 and Honda CBF1000 (also red, of course).

Yes, but your putting strain on the transmission as P just effectively tries to locks the transmission and does not apply any type of wheel braking so your relying on the gearbox to hold the car! I certainly wouldn't want this to happen too often.

Thanks Alan & Dot..
I think this is what happened when I thought I saw the vehicle roll back a little. My wife must have just turned off the car without engaging EPB and what I saw was the vehicle changing to Park and finding the biting point on the transmission.

Hi All
Has anyone heard when they are launching the new facelift Tucson in the UK, I see lots of posts on YouTube showing the face lift model but nothing about the UK or European markets.

While it’s perfectly possible that there has been an announcement that I may have missed, I’m not aware that Hyundai have confirmed a date for shipping the updated model to the UK. Have you tried asking your nearest Hyundai dealership?

I actually told them it was being released and showed them the Hyundai press release so they really don't know
