Re: Upgrade from hev to phev
I tried a BYD Seal U before swapping our Tuscon Ultimate Hybrid it’s a nice car well built but to drive it’s about as exciting as a wet lettuce, also found that the fuel economy on the half day we had it was awful, ride quality was nothing to write home about as well.

Re: New Tucson Hybrid - Kinda Disappointed No Digital Key
When we ordered our new Ultimate Hybrid I specifically wanted to order the Lux pack which got you digital key and self park assistance, having visited 4 different dealerships we were told that this option wasn’t available on any UK order cars with build dates into early next year.

“I’m not aware of any adjustment possible such as you enquire about. That said, I’m at a loss to think of a circumstance where there might be a need to retract the the mirrors at a higher speed. Re: Sudden braking (2024 HEV)
although you can turn the feature off I do worry that in the event of an accident it could cause issues with any insurance claim. If you turn off the feature, does it revert to ON when you switch off/on the ignition ? If it reverts to ON, then by the time any insurance assessor get to view the car,...

Re: Sudden braking (2024 HEV)
Having recently swapped from a 2022 Tuscon Hybrid to a 2024 hybrid Hyundai have made the Forward Collision Assist a lot more more sensitive than the previous version, presumably to meet current NCAP requirements, ours has caught me out on a couple of occasions recently mainly with vehicles in front ...

All Electric Garages Kidderminster are an excellent dealer, ask for Richard, I’m also told Paul Rigby in Bromsgrove is very good, they won one of Hyundai’s world dealer awards.

Re: NOW HAD 2025 TUCSON 1.6 HYBRID ULTIMATE FOR TWO WEEKS
We’ve had ours 3 weeks, we had our previous Tuscon Hybrid for 2.5years the new model is certainly in my opinion a far better car, far smoother drive train a lot quieter thanks to the laminated front windows, in fact my wife came back from shopping this morning and remarked she couldn’t believe how m...

Re: Fuel consumption
A few months ago in our previous Tuscon Hybrid, because of an over night road closure and long detour ended up getting to petrol station with 3 miles showing on range, once filled it switched off at 48 litres, now assuming tank is 55 litres as stated in manual that left approx 7 litres in the tank.

Re: Fuel consumption
I have just purchased a new Tucson Hybrid. I am slightly confused about the range shown below the petrol gauge. Does this show the range just using petrol - or how far I can get on a combination of petrol and electric power? It’s just for petrol range, although you’ll find depending on speed/road c...

Re: Tuscon 2024 first long drive impressions
No it’s a HEV not a PHEV, it does offer some serious braking especially in level 3, I’ve found so far in day to day use level 1 offers just enough gentle speed reduction to be useful.
Level 3 is more akin to doing an emergency stop…
