Re: Hyundai pollution sensors
I've never heard of this feature for the UK or European model Tucson or even the American one. I did see a video of the Korean model that had a display of the particulate levels detected. It's certainly a feature on VAG cars; my Passat had it. There was no indication of it operating unless you heard...

Re: Door mirror adjusters , lit or unlit?
The mirror controls don't light on mine either. Hyundai doesn't believe anyone would swap drivers at night but that we would like to drive with the evening breeze in our hair

Re: Blue link subscription charges
In the infotainment system under Blue link you can set it to offline mode. That's all they would need to do initially, until they stop somewhere to make a more permanent "adjustment"

Re: Auto hold
Surely the thing that avoids clutch wear in a DCT is the driver allowing a gap to form in front before moving off. They could decide to use auto hold or not, doesn't make a difference on my opinion. As far as I know the 6AT (a "traditional" auto but with no torque converter) is not used on...

Re: NOW HAD 2025 TUCSON 1.6 HYBRID ULTIMATE FOR TWO WEEKS
Somebody else suggested that the MHEV performs best in Normal driving mode, rather than ECO.
* ECO - keeps the battery for extended engine stop / coasting.
* Sport - keeps the battery for assisting the engine at certain RPMs
* Normal - does a bit of both, allegedly

Re: EV/ICE Modes Battery Charge.
When the HEV is brand new it is very conservative with the battery, keeping it around 50% mark. Put a few hundred miles on it and the computer will start using the battery more. Mine will go up to 75% driving on the flat before going to EV mode, or nearly 100% if braking down a hill. Less than 25% b...

Re: Battery Reset & Dead Battery (HEV)
Jeez, why on earth does the new PHEV now need TWO 12v batteries? The sealed lead-acid AGM one and that additional Li-Ion one in Chrisaaaaa's pic above! Is it only for the additional "Tech-Pack"* features provided by that ADAS/Parking ECU? I wonder if the HEV (with Tech-Pack) now has a seco...

And for Continental, multiply the price by 2 as they wear out twice as fast. Ask a VW owner

Re: Auto Express review of new model Tucson - hybrid power reduced to 212hp
In this document , they think the ICE might be producing 180PS/177 HP ! Grant That same document lists the HSG as being 13KW(17HP). That might only be the power draw when it is called upon to start the ICE, but it may also be the amount of Power it can produce to charge the battery/supply the motor...

Re: Auto Express review of new model Tucson - hybrid power reduced to 212hp
But they used to quote 150ps for the ICE and 180ps for all the "electrified" power trains, before adding on anything for the electric motor. So you can't subtract the motor's output from the total and get the ICE version's power. Now for the facelift they are quoting 160ps for all the engi...
