Re: What will you replace your Tucson with ?

I lease my Tucson but I'm going to be handing it back early and swapping it for a Skoda Enyaq, a full EV. The Skoda will be a company car so the tax I'll pay is a lot less than what I pay for the Tucson and an even bigger saving on any other replacement I could find when pricing things up. If I were...

Re: How scratched is your windscreen?

IMG_20240212_162850_313.jpg Literally just finished washing the car and found this, I can't tell if it's a crack or deep scratch but I never wash the car using hot water or dirty cleaning cloths, thought I might have caught the black surround on the inside when I was cleaning the windscreen but it'...

Re: How scratched is your windscreen?

Spray thrown up by following vehicles in front too closely, or by HGVs coming in the opposite direction will contain grit and dust. How many times have you been sprayed with mucky water by an HGV going in the opposite direction and what's the first thing you do ? Activate your wipers and washers. I...

Re: How scratched is your windscreen?

Thanks all, interesting to hear the experience of others. I haven't taken it through a car wash as I know they can cause some damage if you're unlucky. I can only think the scratches have appeared from an ice scraper, although can literally only think of one time I've used one in the last few months...

How scratched is your windscreen?

I've had my Tucson a couple of years now and really like it. However, I've recently noticed there are quite a few scratches on the windscreen of varying sizes. They are only visible in certain lights, while in direct sunlight for example, and not very visible from the outside unless you really look,...

Doh, you're probably right! Never really used that before, but yes, that's probably it! Thanks.

Click when flooring accelerator

I noticed something with the accelerator pedal of my manual Tucson, which I haven't noticed in the past year. Not sure if it's always been there or just developed. While the car was parked and the engine off, I happened to put the accelerator all the way to the floor. It went down, then there was a ...

Re: Shake, rattle (and roll)

Check the sun visors are secure. Good tip, thank you, but they were. It almost sounds like it's coming from the passenger door itself. Did you figure this one out? I have rattle from the rear passenger door, seems to stop if I bend back put some pressure on the window switch area. I think I kinda d...

Re: Wipers

I definitely find this as well, it often seems random how often they wipe on auto setting - not often enough when it's raining, too often when it's dry but a bit misty! I often wish for an intermittent setting as per my 14 year old Astra, which just wipes the screen every few seconds. Unless this is...

Re: TPMS reset

I've had this exact thing the last few days as well. The rear passenger side tyre flagging as being 28 psi while the others sit at 35. I topped it up but it was right back down again the next morning, so the car is currently at Kwik Fit to have the tyre itself checked...
