Re: Steering wheel lock postion 2022 model
I didn’t know cars still had steering locks? When do you need to engage it?

Re: Road speed sign alerts
So how can I get the bonging noise when I go over the speed limit. I get the sign turning red on dashboard but would love a bonging noise to remind me to slow down. Thanks Bluelink/More/User Profile/ Vehicle Settings/Navigation Settings/Alerts/Camera Alert Isn’t that just the speed camera warning a...

Re: Leaving car for holiday
I honestly wouldn’t worry about any of this. Unless you live in a high crime area (in which case they’d probably just break into your house and take your key!) then I’m sure you will be fine. I love my Tucson, but it’s a family car, quickly becoming commonly seen on our roads, and not especially des...

Re: How to connect to Apple carplay
Yeah what you’re hearing is audio via phone projection (Bluetooth). For the CarPlay connectivity you just need to plug your phone in as explained above. Once you do this the display defaults to CarPlay. I’ve set up the ‘star’ favourite button in the middle to be a CarPlay short cut so I can always g...

Re: Reclining rear seats
Yes thanks, same on mine, but when they are upright, which is a more usual position I would have thought, there is a 3 or 4 inch gap… Fully upright is NOT a normal position. What cars have you seen that have fully upright backrests ? A little reclined is normal and if left in a fully upright positi...

Re: An ignorant question on keyless security
Forgive my ignorance with this, but I for those of you that keep the key in the faraday box or pouch, if the signal from the key is so weak that it's needs to be within 1m of the car to be picked up, why do you feel the need to put the key in the box when at home? Whilst it isn't absolutely necessa...

Re: An ignorant question on keyless security
Hi all, I just did the test that "old man" described earlier and it works. My Tucson plug-in hybrid key 🔑 fobs have a time out of around 30 minutes. My car is parked in front of my house. One key fob is at the house front door (where car is parked) and the other is at the front window (wh...

Re: Gardx Paint Protection at £395...worth it?
My father-in-law used to work at a dealership, he gave me the ‘Gardx’ product for free. It was basically two little bottles of polish/sealant, no different to Autoglym products you can buy for a fraction of the cost!! I’ve always had gap insurance on new cars, never from the dealer though, it’s much...

Re: Accumulated info, experience and opinion
Now instead of my fog light bulb(which was red) being in a white cluster it is now a white LED in a white cluster so less noticeable. Thing about the LED indicator, they're LED so not the same HUE/Colour as an incadescent but orange nonetheless. No errors on dash as they were all Canbus bulbs. Belo...
