Hi all

First time poster here.
Yesterday, somebody decided to drive into the back of my Tucson, the damage is minimal (thankfully) but I’m having trouble sourcing the correct part.

Please could somebody tell me the name of the circled part on the attached image? It has cracked on both sides and needs replacing.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, ‘bennett2303’.

I can’t be of much help to you as, to me, it’s just the rear lower valance. I can’t tell whether or not the circled part is a separate and detachable part but you may find out if you research the ‘Partsouk’ website and fire in the necessary model details. If you’re lucky, perhaps one of the forum members might know exactly what’s required. Keep looking in over the next few days.

When I had a towbar & electrics fitted by a specialist company, they had the whole back end off my 2023 model but I didn’t pay any attention as I was absorbed in a bit of reading material at the time.

These are not good times to be making a claim on your insurer so, if you can sort it without involving them, it will save you a lot of money when your policy comes up for renewal.

Good luck with it.

Hi bennett2303,
As indalo says. It's a lower rear valance with various sections clipped into place. It's rare to be able to find the smaller clipped in segments which make the overall rear bumper. Pop in to your local Hyundai dealer & ask the parts department to determine the part via their 'exploded' diagram of the rear bumper.

I've highlighted an area in red to ask if that's a dirty mark or a further crack in the bumper.

Most bumper cracks can be repaired, this one is no exception. Expect a bill for anything from £200 to £400+ depending on SMaRT repair or bodyshop.

Possibly that part number. One can be found on Ebay right now actually showing the inside of the part with the part number. I'm going to hazard a guess there is no difference between countries or LHD vs RHD in that scenario. I wonder if in your case you have broken the clips on the inside along the top, you can just seem 6 of them on show in the picture. It is the kind of part I would only be buying from a dealer as OEM. If a used one is about £50 then I would guess a new one might be £100

Thank you all for the replies.
I think that is the part! At that price, I’ll contact my local dealer and hopefully get it sorted through them.

You are right, I picked up one of the clips after the bump.
