Grrrr. Drove out tonight and half way down the hill the tyre pressure warning comes on. Rear nearside down to 30 psi. So, back home again and ckeck. Yep - a screw has gone through the thick part (not in the tread).

So, now I have to wait till tomorrow to see if I can find somewhere to repair it - I need it for Sunday. I hope it's repairable.

Now if you were to spend a small fortune on a 2nd hand genuine wheel and tyre, it would guarantee that you'd never need it!

But anyway, I thought you have a spare Tucson? :D

Repair it yourself with tyre repair strings. They also work in the "unrepairable" parts of the tyre.

No, I don't trust myself. Never done it before and I couldn't rely on it

Fair enough if you have a better option. However if you are stuck without any other options then it is a skill worth acquiring. It is a simple job with plenty of youtube videos to explain or just follow the instructions on the repair kit.

In my own experience it has helped keep me mobile on several occasions. Never failed, with no problems at all. Would always have such a repair kit with me when setting out on a long distance road trip. You also need a tyre pump to put air back in.

To conclude. I phoned ATS - can't do it till Tuesday. Phoned Kwik-Fit - phone dodn't answer. So, I went down there (only about 1.5 miles away). They were able to sort it out. £29.95 though.
