Volume knob not working in my wife's account but works in mine

I encountered a strange issue with my 2024 (facelifted) Tucson MHEV, where my wife cannot change the media volume using the rotary knob on the dashboard when logged into her account (she can do it from the steering wheel button). The button works fine when logged into my account, so I'm pretty sure this isn't hardware, but still don't know where to look for a fix. Has anyone experienced a similar situation?

There's a 70's joke desperately trying to come out of this one.
But on a serious note, you can try a reboot of the head-unit and redo your settings per account.
Other than that if you're not too far from your dealer, give them the problem.
Hope it goes well for you, software is a dark art.

too much hassle, I guess. Since it works for me, I'd rather tell my wife to just use the steering wheel button and call it a day. maybe when it's time for oil change I'll let the dealer take a look.

Just a thought. Some allow either left or right knob to be assigned the volume control. Is your wife possibly fiddling with the wrong knob, so to speak?

I don't think she changed any settings on her profile, it's all default. I checked it myself, the volume button is unresponsive on her profile.
