Hi
Just doing the yearly Insurance trawl and one of the question is what does it have a factory fitted or Thatcham Alarm/Immobiliser. I am sure its just a factory one. Does anyone have any ideas as I have gone through the manual and cannot see anything.

Alarm / Immoboliser
Hi ‘Raiders66’.
Just state that it has a factory-fitted alarm/immobiliser and you’ll be telling no lies. Whether or not it is a Thatcham-approved device is of no concern to we mortals although most such systems are.
Whether it is or isn’t won’t appreciably alter your overall premium; at least, not in the way that 3 points on your licence or a claim for accident damage would. In any case, the underwriters know perfectly well about the equipment lists and security devices incorporated in the vast majority of vehicles on our roads. In the event of a claim, they may pick up on any discrepancy they find in your statement upon which they provided cover so that is why I made reference to perhaps inadvertently or mistakenly telling a lie.

Digging around in the Wayback Machine, I found this capture from 27 Jan 2022. If you scroll down to the bottom and expand "Safety & Security", it says: "Alarm - Category 1" (all models) :-
Moving forward to 09 Dec 2022 ("data correct July 2022"), the web site acquired a more readable PDF, that says :-
This web page pertains to the 'New' Tucson (i.e. May '24 onwards - referred to as 'Model Year 25', for some reason) and it says its Alarm is also "Thatcham Category 1".
(The 'new' Tucson used to illustrate that last web page, (T2 HYU), was first registered 05 OCT 2023!)
If the Tucson's Alarm & Immobiliser are rated as "Category 1", then I'm not overly impressed by Thatcham's testing
