Just writing to endorse what others have already said, to which I would add; If the Tucson is given a hard life I'm not convinced of its longevity, but if you treat it well, then I think it will return the favour.
Like you I'm not a fan of glass roofs/sunroofs, I really don't see the point, especially when there's air con in the car and I'd never order one as an extra.
Most insurance companies will treat damage to a glass roof the same as any other part of the car bodywork, but there are some who include it in car window section as long as the damage is not caused by any mechanism that operates the roof. LV and Darwin are two such companies, but there are more.

Before deciding to buy a Tucson, I read reports that the ride was a bit harsh, especially compared to its Kia sister. I don't find it so, but I would advise a decent test drive over some poor surfaces to ensure you're okay with it. If it seems harsh to you, check the tyre pressures, before dismissing the car.

As a yardstick, I've had my N Line S HEV for over 2 years with 10000 miles on the clock. Two things I've had the dealer try and sort out; They've twice made adjustments to to fuel flap to stop it sitting proud of the bodywork (well documented here). The second was, I made mention that water pools on the rear door sills after rain or washing. They said they'd had no complaints about this, so I fixed it myself.

A big bonus with this car, is that my wife likes it too and enjoys driving it.

Thank you pharaoh for your insights.

Yes I've read some people have had issues or had to look really closely at their insurance policies as it wasn't covering the Sunroof etc. Thanks for reminding me, good stuff.

I'm hoping to go for a test drive in a few weeks *fingers crossed* .. I actually tried hiring one for the weekend in my area but only found 2 petrol (manual transmission) for extortionate prices. Looking forward to a test drive but I doubt a 20min drive is really going to give me what I need. I need more!

A question to all.. (apologies if it seems silly to some, I've never purchased a used car nor Hybrid before)

Hypothetically speaking, If buying a 'Used and Approved' Tucson Hybrid Ultimate and you've spotted one you like. Either you've been eying it up for 2-3 months or you know it's been sitting in the dealership lot for 2-3 months.. is that any good for the EV battery?

Seen videos/ comments saying that if the car is sitting there not being used for extended periods of time, it isn't healthy for the EV Battery etc. This true?

Under the assumption and (niavely hoping) that the dealership are turning on the cars every day or once a week at least.. and maybe getting a few test drives here and there.. should one be worried or concerned about choosing such vehicles?

For Hybrid owners out there, is there any knowledge I can equip myself with when scouting any cars I find at dealerships and check if there's bad batteries etc?

I'll also expand that question to 'anything' I should specifically look out for when checking out 'Used and Approved' Tucson Ultimate Hybrids at dealerships?

Thanks
