Newbie with shelf scratches on 2025 HEV

Hi All.
Just replaced my 2021 Ultimate HEV with the new N Line S HEV.
Anyone else found the shelf above the glovebox very easy to scratch ? I scratched mine with a fingernail just by placing my phone on there. If I dont protect it with something it will look awful very quickly. It's just not as scratch resistant as other parts of the car with similar materials
I was very pleased with the Ultimate so to get a problem like this after a couple of weeks is disappointing. If I'm not alone hopefully someone will bring out an aftermarket shelf protection mat

I can’t remember any complaints previously about the susceptibility to scratching of that material but it is disappointing to learn that it isn’t as hardwearing as we would like. I’m sure if others encounter the same issue, we will get to hear about it in these pages.

In the meantime, keep your fingernails well trimmed!

We bought a roll of car coloured rubber webbed mats. Just cut and trim to fit where needed.
