high beam assist

I have a 69 plate(2019) Tucson N line but can"t seem to get HBA to work.
I have followed instructions in vehicle handbook , but doesn't do anything apart from switching main beam on so can anybody advise as to what I might be missing please?

Not sure this will help as I have the newer model but I'll mention it anyway.

You push the main beam stalk forward and the HBA Symbol appears on the dash.

When it's enabled it obviously turns main beam on/off dependant on light conditions. Works OK the majority of the time on my car.

On my model you can enable/disable the HBA function in the infotainment system. I wonder if your model has that setting and you may have it disabled.

Vehicle Settings --> Lights ....
