I’ve read of others having this issue and last week when my Tucson was in for a EGR valve replacement, another customer was in talking about this very issue on theirs and mentioned that it had happened twice now. That he’d gone to set off for work in the morning and it was dead.terryp wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 6:46 pm I see no mention of the "Battery Reset" issue that I continue to experience (twice in the last 2 weeks).
Am I alone in this problem or has no one else experienced it?
Don't misunderstand me, it's not a major issue to reset the A/C and lose the data under "fuel since refuelling" but I'm surprised that it didn't get a mention when describing the Tucson's virtues and criticisms.
If any one has found a resolution to this, I would be very interested to hear. Otherwise, I will raise this with the dealer, for the third time, at the next service.
Despite the above, I continue to enjoy driving it and I will not rush out to buy the facelift model.
The dealer checked if he’d left anything plugged in or turned on mistakenly when locking the car overnight, and then reverted to the standard spiel of, “Well we’ll connect it for diagnostics and run update checks to see if any software updates might sort it out”. To me that’s dealership code for no idea or internally aware of an issue that corporate isn’t ready to publicise.
Touch wood I’ve never encountered this since I took delivery in May ‘22 but it sounds extremely frustrating.
