N Line S now on about 2k miles. Just checked oil and it’s midway on dipstick so just in case thought I would buy a 1litre top up oil. Handbook recommend Shell Helix Ultra
0-W20. Not as easy as it sounds as there are numerous oils at 0-w20 from Shell. So, I checked the Shell oil website and these are the options given-
Premium - Shell Helix Ultra SP 0w-20
Or
Standard- Shell Helix Professional A0-L 0w-20
So I had a search around for the standard oil and can’t find that one anywhere. I did find the Ultra SP online.
So, where are you buying your top up oil from. Hopefully as it’s newish I won’t need it beyond the 1st oil change.
Or, are you using a different make entirely. Let me know. Thanks
Keith

Those of us who've thought it would be a good idea to have some top-up oil to hand, have probably not got round to getting any - mainly because the car doesn't use any oil. Or at least, that applies to me.
(Mine was above the "full" mark when the car was delivered and also after its first service
)
I only have PDFs of the manual for the US & Canadian models, but "Quaker State" oil is recommended for those
(The important bit is the SAE 0W-20, API SN PLUS/SP or ILSAC GF-6 classification).
So if the oil you buy has the right 'classification', you should be ok (obviously, double-check the UK manual
)
Halfords recommend this oil, based on my registration number.
This PDF describes the oil in more detail. It is the correct SAE rating and complies with API SP, rather than API SN.
As far as I can tell, API SP trumps API SN

I misread this. What I think it is saying is "API SN PLUS" or "API SP".PhilHornby wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 1:39 am (The important bit is the SAE 0W-20, API SN PLUS/SP or ILSAC GF-6 classification).

On a side note was pleased with mpg on the 350 mile journey (petrol only) and did 45 mpg mainly m’ways at about 70-75 mph with a few slower sections due traffic.
