Hi ‘Powlerdad’.

This is what I do:

1) Lock car - either by pressing the button on one or other front door handle or by the lock button on the fob.

2) Then, (I’m R-handed) I hold the fob, buttons facing me, and with my L thumb, I press and hold the top button (lock) and immediately afterwards, with my R thumb, I press and hold the middle button. Red telltale lamp flashes.
I never press the buttons simultaneously!

3) Keeping both buttons depressed, after about 3-4 seconds the little telltale red lamp will flash again and then I release the buttons.

4) Still with fob in hand, check door button to prove the disabled feature has worked.

ps I’m pretty sure the indicators flash along with the little red lamp when both buttons are pressed initially - I tend to stare at the little lamp though, looking for the flash there.

pps Same procedure works on SWMBO’s Bayon although with a very obvious flashing of the indicators on initially pressing the buttons and again on completion.

Wasn't my car that got lifted, 10-15 doors down each way, no idea what the insurance said. We have clever thieves around here, my mate lost 4 wheels off a merc outside his house, locking wheel nuts and alarms were no obstacle.
