Blind Spot Monitoring Alert

Hi,

I was in the new model Tuscon yesterday (Ultimate spec), the question I have is does the BSM alert come with an audible warning as well as the visual yellow triangle in the wing mirror.

Yesterday the yellow triangle appeared several times when a car is detected from the rear but there was no audible warning? I have read the manual and it mentions an audible warning but its not clear when this happens and how to activate it.

Any clarification appreciated.

I've never heard a warning tone when the triangle lights up, but then again I keep the speed limit warnings muted by holding the mute button on the steering wheel for a couple of seconds until a notification appears on the info screen Perhaps this also cancels the audible warning?.

On my 2022 Tucson, you only get an audible warning of you use the indicators and there's something in the blind spot. Unless it thinks you will hit it imminently.
