2025 Factory order lead time
When I ordered mine, there where two white ones in the country (the Ultimate) and I could have had one the next week. However, I wanted red and that was at the factory and I am told it will be here before the end of March.
Go and ask your dealer what's available - they have the lists.

I own a 2022 Ultimate Hybrid with Tech Pack - in Red (best colour).
Also have two motorcycles. Honda CB1300 and Honda CBF1000 (also red, of course).

Thanks Alan. Yes, the dealer did look at UK stock list, but was inconclusive. Not prepared to compromise on the model and colour this time around. Quite happy to wait and enjoy my HEV in dark teal a little longer. Just trying to get a feel for factory order lead times. My order has been placed. Waiting for an ETA.
I’m not surprised that there are some within the Hyundai dealer network. Up until recently, white, in its various shades was fashionable among the car-buying public. That fad has since passed and those dealers who latterly ordered stock of white cars are struggling to shift their remaining white models now that there are some really nice colours in the latest spectrum.
My take on car-buying is that when I feel like a change, I don’t want to join a queue so I’m quite prepared to accept any colour except black or white, if a model can be sourced from within the network. When I’m behind the wheel, I can’t see the outside colour anyway so when the Tucson model I wanted appeared on a dealer search at my local showroom, I drove it away four weeks later. That was a cancelled order sitting at the docks and I was able to take delivery as soon as there was space on a transporter headed towards Herts/Essex.
A few weeks later, SWMBO bought her Bayon exactly the same way - the same sales chappie looked through the network and found a car she fancied, only weeks old and with a considerable discount. The car was collected and made available at our local showroom with no obligation to purchase. As it turned out, she was delighted with the car although the colour wasn’t one she would have chosen, had she been prepared to wait two or three months for one from the factory. Just as an aside, the salesman who sold us our cars also sold me an ix 40 Tourer in 2012 and I drove that away inside a week. He also sold my partner’s son a new i30 a couple of months after that and he was driving that within a week.
The Hyundai Tucson was my second choice; the first being the KIA Sportage. Sadly for me, the waiting time for a new Sportage at that point in time was 8-10 months according to my local KIA dealer. In reality, some were waiting 12 months and more to get the model of their choice in their favoured colour and in the particular spec required.
The HEV is a decent car for those of us unable or unwilling to buy into the electric car concept (I would if I lived in suitable premises). That said, I’m sure many other manufacturers have upped their game in recent times so the Korean car warranty is key for me as I keep my cars for more than the industry standard 3-year/60,000 mile guarantee. I’m sure you will enjoy the Tucson.

As with Indalo1, we've been lucky with our orders for 4 Sporty's, all delivered in our required timeframe.
The biggest surprise was the Gen 5 PHEV, ordered 4th Feb and delivered 11 April.
We usually change ours after 3 years in March for the new reg (bit pointless with a 20 year old vanity plate
) but useful for resale I suppose.
So we'd either have the new car just before we went in March or when we returned in May
But a few days before we were due to drive to Mojacar (ie Indalo Man
) I fell and broke my shoulder, so I couldn't expect madame to do all that driving herself.
Then we got the call to say the PHEV was available.
Later we saw how many orders were being held for 6 or more months, a bit of a shock as we had no trouble!
Same with the Tucson, ordered 28 November and drove away 6th December.
So I hope your orders come through as quikly as you want.
There's a fine balance between getting your car quickly (so are there a lot of cancelled orders or why aren't they shifting) and waiting because there is such a demand the factory can't keep pace!
