Reverse with NO bongs!!

With all the various "safety" bings, bongs and chimes, have we become deaf to the reversing bongs on our PHEV?
Both my wife and I thought we'd heard it bonging when reversing when delivered in early Dec last year, but we both said it has stopped "recently"....

Of all the safety features, the reversing sound needs to be the most useful.
Have we never had it, or what have we inadvertently switched it off - if so, how, where - and why hasn't it come back?

My new car doesn't seem to have it. Instead it has a steady 'tone' when reversing.

Perhaps the answer is contained in the responses from ‘alan sh’ and ‘pecon’ as your model should be the same as theirs?

Certainly, on the previous model, the warning chimes or bongs were to be found in settings and, if I remember correctly, could be set to any of three volume levels........unless I’m losing the plot!

Seems that the warning bongs have gone - can't find anything in the Settings.
I would have thought that they would be the most needed of all the other bongs, bings, chimes etc...

All depends on model. Somewhere on the central column. Looks like this ( a P with wave symbol)

madowl: On the Tcson Ultimate facelift it's on the centre console, extreme left button (passenger) for UK cars.
Have tried that, but NO BONGS!
