Power tailgate

My query is how can I set my 2023 (nov) ultimate to only open the boot using the touch pad on the boot. Not the key or the button in the car.
Why? Because I had my keys in my pocket withthe car locked in my garage and I saw my boot open and luckily miss the door. To avoid inadvertant damage, I thought I could turn off "power tailgate " . When I do, the tailgate unlocks, using the pad on the boot, then does not open, but simply locks again.
Any ideas? Many thanks,

You can't do that, but the button on the key has to be held for at least 2 seconds, which is highly unusual if the keys are in your pocket. Same with the one in the car. It can't really be pressed and held accidently.

I wonder did your boot open because you had walked too near the boot with the keys on you. I personally have this always turned off, the reason is as I have a PHEV and I would be plugging in the car and then the boot might open and then I have to close it which just annoys me. You can disable features of the Power Tailgate, here is a video below from Brian, a dealership in Ireland who does a LOT of videos on Hyundais.

All I can tell you is that I switched off the proximity feature in settings, That allows me to open the tailgate using the external release pad, the button on the RH side of the fascia and via the press & hold facility on the fob.

I have had zero problems of unwanted openings or closures of the tailgate.
