Order Lead times
Hi all, I've recently ordered 1.6 TGDi Hybrid 230 N Line S 5dr 2WD Auto. It would be good to know everyone's experiences in terms of weeks or months they've had to wait from order to delivery. I was told mine has been on order since August and it's due into the dealership mid December. Having had a Tiguan on order for 20 weeks with 0 progress I am keen to know if mid December is a realistic time frame based on your experiences.

I ordered my 230ps Hybrid Ultimate Tucson in Sunset Red on the 31st of August. I was told 4-16weeks at the time, and I had confirmation of it being on a ship yesterday (Not sure of how long as my salesperson has been on leave).
It should be here by the end of October. But, I have also heard from my dealer that the waiting list is now sitting at January and the Tech Pack is not even available to order for them until January. Although, I'm not too fused about the Tech Pack tbh.

That's good news for you. I am hopeful to have it by the end of year as the dealer has stated but in today's world with chip issues, general supply issues etc you just never knowbm8691 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 10:26 am I ordered my 230ps Hybrid Ultimate Tucson in Sunset Red on the 31st of August. Even when it gets to the UK I've been told they are struggling with transporters for my dealership (and no doubt others) so I'm not holding my breath for an end of October delivery.Quinn010 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:18 amThat's good news for you. I ordered an ultimate hybrid (230) in white in mid July. was told mid October.
Last week they told me it had been built (on time) but was now awaiting a space on a ship. Delays in shipping, sadly
Likely mid-November before it will be with me now, I was told.
Serves me right for wanting the light coloured interior lol
Sadly, no chance of a tech pack unless i was prepared to wait like foreverrrr
but i couldn't care less about being able to remote park. You don't miss what you've never had. I would rather park it myself anyway.
I always look in mirrors [as a minimum] 'BEFORE' signalling ... as opposed to [only] after signalling ... so the blind-spot mirror feature could arguably encourage/reinforce incorrect/bad driving procedure.
As for the adjustable suspension, I haven't seen a good review on that yet.
So, overall, I'm not too fussed about the tech pack either. We're not missing out on much.
I might have liked to have the 360 camera view though (just for fun). But am not sure if that feature alone is worth the £1k - £2k extra.

I think even if yours becomes a November delivery it will be still a good turnaround time from order to delivery when you consider how bad the market is for new cars. Hopefully some good news soon, will be good to know any updates you do get going forward.bm8691 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 12:52 pmEven when it gets to the UK I've been told they are struggling with transporters for my dealership (and no doubt others) so I'm not holding my breath for an end of October delivery.Quinn010 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:18 amThat's good news for you. Sounds like a potential 18 week turnaround time for you then. Yeh the tech pack wouldn't be an essential for me as well. It's mostly just doing things the everyday driver should be able to do themselves quite confidently. The 360 camera I've had on previous cars however I haven't missed it on cars since. I did contemplate the ultimate but something just made me go for the N Line S. I hope I won't live to regret it as I heard the N Line S's seem to be taking longer to manufacturer and then get into the Uk. Hopefully you get a more positive update soon!misterbuzby wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 8:08 pm I ordered an ultimate hybrid (230) in white in mid July. was told mid October.

I'm still waiting for my car to arrive but I have had concerns over not opting for the adjustable suspension because some say the ride is a bit bumpy.misterbuzby wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 8:08 pm I ordered an ultimate hybrid (230) in white in mid July. was told mid October.

The only reason I didn't was because of the even longer delivery times.
When you say you haven't seen a good review yet, what have you seen. I can't find any reviews on that.

"When you say you haven't seen a good review yet, what have you seen. I can't find any reviews on that."
I've just had another look. Admittedly, not many reviews of the ECS suspension per se
And the few reviewers do seem to be equally split. Some like. Some don't. A marmite kind of thing maybe?
The standard suspension is said to be reasonably soft as is to be excepted of a family SUV.
However ... those choosing the 19 inch wheels generally noticed a firmer ride (especially on slower speed roads with potholes).
I imagine that possibly applies to most low-profile tyres (?)
One example ...
<< How does the Tucson ride?
When we first tested the Tucson, our highly-specced test car was in Ultimate trim with the optional tech pack, which includes Electronic Control Suspension (ECS). This adds adaptive damping to the front strut/rear multi-link suspension. The stiffer Sport setting irons out the relaxed gait in favour of a pretty uncompromising set-up – you’ll soon be switching back to Eco. Motorway refinement is fairly typical for an SUV: there’s a bit of wind noise, and a grumble from the borderline low-profile Michelin Primacy 4s.
Not wishing to sound like Goldilocks, but this ECS Tucson is either too loose or too firm for our tastes and best avoided – not least because the vast majority of UK cars will have passive suspension and front-wheel drive. >>
