This correlation between 12V battery state and loss of settings is, as yet, unproven. People have lost settings, without the battery saver triggering (me included). At least one forum member has seen the settings disappear while the car was powered on.

I have just purchased a new n-line s Tucson, 2023, but confused about the Reverse Parking distance indicator should it be on or off, my dealership says it should be turned off to activate the sensors, it also switches itself back on, and my sensors don’t activate at all, also should the auto parking distance warning be on or off, I no you shouldn’t just rely on the sensor’s but the at least should be working, or it may just be me being thick

Welcome to the forum, ‘Pda0763’.

Perhaps I’m being thick but I simply don’t recognise the issue you seem to have. Without touching anything else, I start the car, perform my ‘pre-flight’ regime and drive away.

Should the occasion arise when I need to select Reverse, I do that and the sensors will sound as I get close to anything behind. This is all viewable on-screen.

Is there something I’m missing?

When it's illuminated, the system is activated.

However, it has a propensity for switching itself OFF

See "Driver assistance >> Parking Safety >> [ ]Auto PDW (Parking Distance Warning" and make sure it's "ticked".

Has the issue of loosing settings now been resolved? Purchased a 23 (73 plate) hybrid in December and it's loosing its settings after standing for only 2 days. Can you see the problem on Bluelink? Does anything I am dong affect this at all? Car booked in to dealer end of month but would like to know what I can expect from Hyundai as we do not use the car on a daily basis.

[u]I was the member who reported a reset after the car was started. I was experiencing daily resets when I was In Portugal and the car was parked in an underground garage so as soon as I started the car, the auto headlights came on and the reset took place,
I've been back in UK for 4 months now and have hardly experienced a reset on more than 1 occasion. The car is parked on a drive so the headlights only come on occasionally. I have also noticed that the SOC is consistently at a much higher level than before, ususally around 75%.
No idea how any of this makes sense as when I first had the car resets were quite a problem, but now..........

We've had our Ultimate PHEV for 5 weeks now.
I'm still to master the Scheduled Charging as it seems to delete itself from both the car settings AND the app!
It's not much fun going out at 00.45 to replug in the car as it FAILS to charge.

I've contacted Bluelink who found that the installed software was NOT the AUG 2024 but an earlier version.
Have now uploaded onto USB stick and in process of updating the car. Should have a long enough drive tomorrow to complete the installation and then I'll see how it behaves.

With our Sporty PHEV I used to plug in to the wall box and then the car.
Never had an issue.

But this car seems to lose connection at the drop of a hat and need resetting.
The only incident free charging that went without a hitch was when I plugged the car in first, then the wallbox.
Just the last of many permutations I've tried.
That's how it is for tonight as I want a full charge as well as a full tank tomorrow.
Otherwise I'll be awake at 00.30 to check if the car is charging. If not then it's try resetting the car Charging parameters or failing that, going out to sort it.

I can see no reason why an update will cure the loss of set times in both the car and the app, but will give it a try.
It's at the stage where it seems pointless having a remote charging app!
