but monsieur plod might not care. I'll just bring them with me along with a bulb kit that won't work with LEDs and Hi Viz Jackets(in glove box) I hope I won't need.

Yep, as long as you're seen to be doing the right thing and drive sensibly on French roads, you'll be fine. Of course, there's a jobsworth in every walk of life and we just have to hope we don't fall foul of one on our travels.
There was an English guy on a Skoda forum that lives in France who used to say we imagine that French cops spend all of their time trying to get us, but in reality it's nothing like that. They don't want the hassle and paperwork of dealing with British drivers any more than our own cops do.
Enjoy your holiday Berty, we're certainly looking forward to ours.
Whereabouts are you going to ?

Vendée and Normandy. We normally head to the area South of La Rochelle and North of Bordeaux along the coast but this time further north.

St Hilarie De Riez and then east of Mont St Michel as missus has never seen Normandy in our many trips. Normally fly to Nantes, cheap Ryanair flights, but she's so excited about driving in the new car.

How about you, where you heading?

Brittany this time. Been there a few times before but it took the last couple of trips to appreciate how much it has to offer.
In years gone by, Normandy was just an area that the motorway passed through on the way to places further south, but one year we decided to check it out. Stayed near Domfront and had a great time discovering the local area.
I know we all like different things, but I'd recommend going to Mont St Michel and if you have the legs, walk up to the very top. Clecy is nice and is known as Little Switzerland, although nowhere near as grand.
Also, Bagnoles de L'orne is worth a visit too, which isn't far from Domfront.

Can you see it, the trim not sitting correctly? It's minor but it's there. Passenger side nice and flush, drivers side not so much. Fired off email to dealership. One pic passenger side, other drivers side. Panels are flush all round, you can see where the trim doesn't sit properly. Easy to miss I suppose, shame I had to find it, shouldn't be like that.

Thought a small bit of a push might sort it from various angles, it didn't.

That's not right Berty. I think the nut on the bottom of the door holds those mouldings. Up to you if you wanna see if they tighten or, my choice, just let the dealer sort it.

Your drivers door moulding looks to have a crease line which looks like the end moulding is pushed in causing the outer moulding to be pushed out. You can see the door skin which on mine you cannot.

I gave it a go as I saw both of the bolts, loosened one, moved it up a bit but not exact. Better but no perfect. Needs to be perfect of course.

It needs to be right Berty so I'd let dealer sort it. I've updated my last response with an observation on the drivers side moulding. It looks like the plastic end plate is bent in and is stopping the moulding going up/back.

I sent the same pics to the dealer earlier, they can easily look at another Tucson and check. Only reason I saw it was I was using a magma cleaner on the paintwork so got close enough to spot it.

I'm passing the dealer tomorrow, they're around 70 miles away so maybe they can look at it.

Had my ECU recall on Monday and fair play they did a check over for me as well

Was on 18,719 miles Monday just over 19k today so booked second service in couple weeks time

I was surprised on tire wear for a heavy motor, OS driver front 4.7mm middle, NS passenger front 4.5mm middle, NS passenger rear 5.0 middle & OS driver rear 4.8 middle

I think this is pretty good going personally, everything else they checked was all good

Only thing i have noticed that i will raise at service is the sun roof seems to make a creaking noise which is annoying

Other than loads of small stone chips on front and wind screen it still feels great
