Hi all, new to posting on the group.
Got the 1.6 gdi auto 177. Absolutely love the car, done 67k faultless miles. 3 weeks ago, started hearing what I thought was the alternator starting to whine. Got home and had a look to find the noise coming from the gearbox. Had my 10k service done this week and whilst up on the ramp had a look underneath to find that the long driveshaft gearbox seal leaking.
It has been booked in under warranty before service was due, but not till the 5th April. Apparently nationwide Hyundai technician shortage. Has anyone else had any issues like this.
Apparently a drive shaft seal has never been changed on these boxes.
