We have a 2022 ultimate hev and thus far, over approximately 15k, have averaged 45.4mpg.
When I 1st had it, I did 62 miles a day, mostly motorway but nowadays, I'm doing about 14 miles a day.
Seeing there's a new facelifted version out, is it worth me thinking of getting a plug in next time or stay with a hybrid ?
Those of you with a phev, are you happy with it ?
What kind of range do you get put of the battery ,
Also looking at the new BYD Seal SUV thing as a plug in, understand it has a bigger hv battery & the range will be better.
Amy thoughts ?
Other than the usual, rattle from the sunroof , flat 12v battery, & constant bonging everytime you turn the ignition on, even though welcome aound ia awitched off, it's been a great car but not sure about replacing it like for like when we do change it.

Hi we have a 22 ultimate too, but it went back after two weeks due to "check hybrid system" and the battery went flat. Did hyundai do anything about the issue? . Thanks

I can't really help with your choice, except to say that I studiously avoided plug in models when choosing my HEV.
I'm happy with my fuel consumption and I don' t believe the inflated consumption figures provided by manufacturers and some owners.
Don't forget that electricity still has to be paid for and is about to rise in price next month.
You pays your money ..............

I can tell you though, that if you plug in your seat belt before turning on the ignition you won't experience the bongs. Surprised you haven't discovered that in 2 years of ownership :o, it has been documented here before.

Yes you said it was an Ultimate, but that doesn't indicate whether it's a HEV or a PHEV.
I assume you have the HEV, but what do you mean by the dreaded Hybrid system issue ?

I own a 2022 Ultimate Hybrid with Tech Pack - in Red (best colour).
Also have two motorcycles. Honda CB1300 and Honda CBF1000 (also red, of course).

As a company car phev is great
If I were to buy private I’d have the Hev

6 hours to charge on a three pin at 10amps for 35 miles
Summer get 48mpg approx
Winter lucky to break 43 mpg
That’s with 5 days of charging

Not taking to account my gearbox failure
TUCSON, PHEV Ultimate in Black
Ordered 21/02/2022
Arrived Tilbury Docks 06/09/2022
Arrived Dealers 19/10/2022
Delivered 07/11/2022 had 8 miles on clock
