My local dealership has just told me that the next Diagnostic appointment they have is over 2 months away, end of April. That's just to diagnose an engine warning light which (correct me if I'm wrong) should take a few minutes in the carpark, and would at least let me know if it's okay to drive. Once diagnosed, it's the same wait at least for a repair appointment.
How does this compare to other Hyundai dealers, are mine cutting corners with staffing levels? Wife has a VW and they had her car in and out within 2 days.
Dealer question - 2 month waiting list for Diagnostic, how does this compare?
Aren't engine warning lights potential MOT fail points ? While your car may not be at MOT age , what if it were ?BP77 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 10:02 am My local dealership has just told me that the next Diagnostic appointment they have is over 2 months away, end of April. If you read through the rest of the forum there's other posts on waiting times . For myself I haven't had any problems thus far , the one warranty issue I had was quickly diagnosed when the car was in for annual service and the car was repaired within the fortnight , that said it wasn't a warning light issue . Fortunately there are a number of Hyundai dealers within probably 20 / 30 minutes of me , certainly the number of local dealerships is a factor I consider when buying a new car , but if I had to wait for service with one I'd try others in the area.
