Hi Indalo, I called the dealer today, but the guy is on holiday at the moment, so have to call again when he gets back on the 15th.

I would be interested to find out if anyone knows whether Hyundai actually send out physical Hyundai original 5-year warranty documents (or in this case the remaining 4-year warranty documents), or it just gets put on Hyundai's systems. I would appreciate it if anyone can help on this, as at present all I could do in the event of any warranty issues arising would be to call the number in the 'Hyundai For Life' booklet. I find it ridiculous that Hyundai say the warranty is 'fully transferable to the next owner', when they haven't given me anything to show that I have the warranty!

Still no insurance documents have arrived - another point for discussion with them.

I'm new to the forum, so do other people see this post, as info on actually getting physical warranty documents would be useful?

Hi Indalo, I've had the tyre, cosmetic and alloy insurance documents through now finally.
The dealer told me that the breakdown insurance automatically kicks in each year, when I get the car serviced at Hyundai.

I'd think you should still get confirmation that you're covered for roadside assistance , I received an email from Hyundai within a day or two of the service confirming the 12 months cover .

It's worth reading what you're not covered for and the email I got shows that I'm not covered for incorrect or insufficient fuel breakdown , or keys locked in the car or lost , there may be other exclusions . As it is I have seperate cover with Green Flag which I think cost me around £ 40 for the year for the tucson . Not all cover is the same and given the costs of recovery home its worth reading the small print of what you are and are not covered for.

Absolutely!

It isn't difficult to imagine being stranded in one or other of the remotest areas of the UK only to discover on making the phone call that you don’t actually have the cover that will take you, your passengers and the car to your home or other destination.

I’d like to see Hyundai uprate the cover provided by having the car serviced each year in accordance with the schedule. It wouldn’t break the bank for them to provide the highest level of cover on mainland UK instead of the cheapo, basic policy. Perhaps the bean counters don’t have sufficient confidence in their products to permit a more comprehensive policy.

Yes, I also have RAC cover too, which we have both our cars covered under.
My next service isn't due for another 4000 miles, so when that's done I'll look out for confirmation from Hyundai of the Roadside Assistance
