I am unconvinced by the condensation argument, I have had the camera obscured issue at temperatures as high as 12 degrees when there is not a hint of condensation on the screen.

Is it possible, that this is a new problem, for the 'new' (i.e. July '24 on) Tucson ...
...maybe the poll needs another question, about the age of the vehicle?

I've had it a couple of times on my 74 plate when the screen has been misted, then it's cleared after a while

Mine throws a camera obscured and unavailable collision warning every time is cold enough outside. It clears after a few minutes as the cabin warms up.

The funny thing is that these warnings are recorded by the vehicle's black box and are revealed when you scan it with an OBD tester. I know because I had an engine (amber) warning, and the test also revealed the collision warning errors.

Which Code Reader do you have :?:

Given that this is not emissions-related, most cheap Readers probably wouldn't be able to see it. It sounds like yours, has at least some, Hyundai knowledge.

Not mine, the scan was done at the dealership. So probably not a run-of-the-mill OBD scanner.

Does it disable the front crash avoidance system altogether if he camera is obscured, I would expect the radar to be operational still, I guess I am assuming it still has a radar, I know they build them down to a price, but they could take that away could they?

they have radar in the lower grille. The camera probably provides some early warning while the radar, only emergency braking. In my experience, when the radar freaks out about close obstacles, it hits the brakes hard with no warning, whereas collision warning (camera-based) provides a warning dozens of yards in advance, even if it detects a significant difference between your car's speed and that of the vehicle in front

In the poll more than half never see the issue, and a third get it a lot, need more votes but it does suggest an issue?
